Location: Melbourne, Australia
Originally from Australia, Andrew Bowden has spent much of the past 20 years in South Asia. He has a background in education and psychology, and brings a fusion of these two things into his coaching work.
Andrew completed a degree in psychology and a postgraduate degree in education from Melbourne University. He has worked in education across Australia, Colombia, Thailand, England, and Germany and has also spent two years facilitating intercultural communication workshops for the German arm of Microsoft & Allianz.
Andrew moved to Thailand to pursue his ever-deepening interest in mindfulness practices and to immerse himself in the traditions of Buddhist meditation. He has been lucky enough to learn and practice for several years under the guidance of world renowned teachers of mindfulness meditation. His practice has taken him to Thailand, Sri Lanka, Burma, and India.
Andrew applies his enduring interest in mindfulness meditation and psychology to his coaching work. He believes that coupling these interests with deep empathy and compassion allows him to guide his clients towards transformation and to enrich their daily lives beyond the meditation cushion.
Andrew is committed to creating spaces for his clients to identify limiting habit patterns and behaviours. He helps his clients to shift their personal and professional realities and to have greater access to their full potential. Andrew couples practical tools and resources with unconditional acceptance, helping his clients to change the way they operate in their professional community.
In his spare time, Andrew likes to keep fit by running and cycling. He loves to practice daily meditation, read, and spend time in forests.
