Based in South Korea, Joonyoung Kim is an executive leadership coach who brings wisdom and expertise from her eclectic multicultural experiences that combine creativity, global business development, and L&D.

Joon’s passion for development ignited whilst studying a Bachelor’s in Music at the University of California as a pianist, composer, and teacher. She then moved to B2B marketing, working with executives across industries and continents in strategic communication, before working for Procter & Gamble, Coty, and CXG as a regional training manager. She also helped luxury beauty and fashion brands like L’Oreal, Kering, and Richemont with GTM strategies, instructional design, and training delivery across APAC.  

As the founder of Mindesign Coaching and Consulting, Joon brings global business perspectives to leadership development, helping people redesign their productivity so they can focus on their personal and business goals.  

Joon is a passionate Co-Active coach who looks at the whole person, engaging mind, body, emotions, and spirit. She draws on systems thinking, exploring how small habits can impact the big picture, and is particularly passionate about helping business women step into their consciousness, creativity, and leadership. 

Joon is certified by Leadership Circle, ICF (ACC), Co-Active Training Institute (CPCC), Korea Coach Association (KPC), and the Association for Talent Development (CPTD). She is an active member of the Co-Active coaching community in Korea, supporting the facilitation as an interpreter. She also partners with Leadership Circle as a senior consultant and executive coach and can be found on major platforms like EZRA Coaching and Coachdot.   

Fluent in Korean and English, Joon proudly acts as the sole caregiver of her parents and continues to contribute to the growing community of Asian coaches through mentorship and supervision. She is a curious generalist who enjoys restaurant hopping, swimming, scuba diving, and looking after her succulents and cats.
