Eric Vallone is from Palo Alto, the heart of Silicon Valley, as well as Hong Kong. He has 20 years of experience spanning Silicon Valley and Asia in technology, professional services, and education.
He has coached more than 30 growth stage start-up founders and executives from organisations valued at $10M to >$8B from Meesho, Zetwerk, BetterPlace, Capillary, Beam, Spotdraft, Wowmomo, Locus, Pricelabs, Turno, Rephrase, Traya, Wellthy Therapeutics, Global66, Verto, Solvento, Mercai, Strata, Sava, Velocity, and BuildingMinds, as wellas many earlier stage companies.
Eric has worked with organisations in the US, Asia, LATAM, and Europe, including start-ups from angel stage through hyper-growth and acquisition, as well as Fortune 50 enterprises, such as Google, Apple, Intel, Cisco, and VMware. Additionally, he has worked with social enterprises and nonprofits, primarily in digital and experiential education.
Leveraging his background working with tech start-ups throughout his career, Eric currently leads the Institute’s efforts to expand its portfolio of start-ups in the US and LATAM, including partnerships with VCs.
From living and working in these diverse contexts and being Chinese American himself, Eric has a unique perspective and cultural understanding that shapes his coaching and facilitation style. His agile approach is anchored in pragmatism, utilising a blend of communication techniques that best adapt to his clients’ cultural and business contexts. Through authenticity, Eric leads individuals and executive teams to higher levels of awareness and accountability against actionable plans.
Eric speaks and works in English, Mandarin, and Spanish, and is working on his Cantonese and Thai. He is an avid traveler, as well as an experienced outdoorsman and competitive athlete. These experiences out in the world complement his experiences inside meeting rooms, and together help him support individuals and teams to move outside their comfort zone towards high-performance.
